Prayer Box Necklace Wish Box

This Prayer Box is 1/2"x1/2" and latches for secure closure.  It is Sterling Silver Plated and on an 18" chain. 

 Originally worn as a religious ritual object. The origins of the prayer box are either Buddist or Hindu faith, but its still up for debate. Today the prayer box is worn by many faiths such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Judaism and the non-religous.   The prayer box is a sentimental, prized and treasured object for it contains the wishes, prayers and thoughts of the person wearing it. 

This particular prayer box has a cross on one side, a fish the opposite side and the sides with heart shaped filigree.  It's beautiful.  What a wonderful gift!
