The Silver Screen Theatre & Cafe
They advertise dinner and a movie for $10.00. I may actually have to go see a movie some time at that price. I wonder if anyone can tell me anything about this place?

We go here a lot. Have been for decades.
They have greatly improved the sound system. but...
They used to show second run movies really cheap,
but now show first run movies for less than other theaters. But only a dollar or two less.
I liked them better when they showed second run.
I'll pay the extra 2 dollars for the bigger, clearer, surround sound digital of the Rave for most movies, but some are still ok to see here.
Their gourmet pizza is a joke, they should contract out with a real pizza company. Because it would be a great place to have good pizza, beer and a movie with friends.
There is a lot of other food but most of it is fried,
You can get beer so that may be a bonus.
All their concessions are cheaper so on the weekend this place looks like a divorced parent/kid visitation day and the place gets trashed!
The reason this place is still a gem though is when Mike Ensley shows his midnight movies.
Or when the manager brings in some obscure stuff.
But if you really want independent and short run films go to gulf breeeze cinema 4. _________________ You can tell by my signature that I am here |

on tuesday to get in.
and on wednesday the pizza is 5 dollars
and beer is 1 dollar (12 oz)
or 1.50 (20 oz)
and you know what? the pizza is not to bad.
they put an inch of cheese on it, and the crust is pretty good for not hand made
it's not cardboard like it used to be. _________________ You can tell by my signature that I am here |
